No one was injured in a Thursday afternoon house fire on the 3900 block of San Mar Drive in Olympia, according to the Olympia Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to the two-story home just after noon. Residents of the home were already outside, and said the home was undergoing some roof work before the fire was noticed. The fire was contained to the roof and attic of the home, but second-story bedrooms sustained some damage.

Firefighters extinguished the fire about 1 p.m. and remained at the scene for several hours to investigate its cause. Damage to the building was estimated at $75,000, and the American Red Cross is assisting the family.

One firefighter was examined by medics following a short fall, but he didn’t sustain any serious injuries.
