The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Saturday night shooting in the Grand Mound area, both the department and Sheriff Derek Sanders announced in separate social media posts.

About 11 p.m. Saturday, deputies and Chehalis Tribal Police were on the scene of a possible drive-by shooting with multiple victims shot near 201st Avenue Southwest in Grand Mound, according to Sheriff Sanders.

“We have cleared the immediate area,” he posted on social media.

Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff’s office provided an update.

“Detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting on 201st Avenue Southwest in the Grand Mound area,” the social media post reads. “At this time, no one is in custody, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.”
