3 injured in head-on crash on Littlerock Road, Thurston Sheriff says

Three people were seriously hurt in a Friday night head-on collision on Littlerock Road, Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders said in a social media post.

Deputies and West Thurston Fire crews were dispatched about 6:40 p.m.

Sanders, citing witnesses, said the male driver of a Subaru station wagon was “recklessly passing cars before crashing into another vehicle head on.”

The male driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to Sanders’ post. Sanders alleged that a substance believed to be methamphetamine was found in the man’s pocket before he was airlifted.

Both occupants of the vehicle the man crashed into, including a young child, also suffered serious injuries and were taken to an area hospital, Sanders said.

An arrest wasn’t possible at the time of the crash, Sanders said, but the male suspect could be facing possible charges of vehicular assault, reckless driving and driving under the influence.
