Woman who died after I-5 crash near Nisqually bridge has been identified
A 67-year-old Oregon woman who died following a Friday evening crash on Interstate 5 has been identified.
Family was notified by the Thurston County Coroner’s Office, according to the Washington State Patrol.
About 7:20 p.m. Friday, Rhonda S. Long of Springfield, Oregon, was headed north on the freeway, approaching the Nisqually bridge.
Troopers say she drove off the road to the right and crashed into a barrier, then crossed all lanes and crashed into a left-side barrier.
Her vehicle stopped there, but it did not block the road, according to State Patrol.
Long was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia where she later died.
