‘Luxurious’ estate with 2 homes and horse barns for sale in WA. See $9M property

A sprawling estate with two houses, horse barns, indoor riding arenas, fenced pastures and more is for sale about 30 miles west of Olympia — and it’s unlike anything else in the area.

The 53-acre property in Elma, on the market for $9.9 million, is described as “one of the most luxurious equestrian estates in the Northwest,” according to a real estate listing by Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty.

“Tucked away in a private gated compound,” the estate was built 15 years and housed a “small boutique horse breeding operation” that produced numerous champions, the listing said.

It’s never before been on the market, according to Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty.

Western Washington estate for sale has 2 homes, horse barns

The property’s main residence is nothing short of immaculate, said Brad Vancour, the listing broker.

A “timber-frame architectural masterpiece” by Krekow Jennings, it spans 12,600 square feet with four bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, according to the listing.

From the great room with cathedral ceilings and a rock fireplace that stands 43 feet tall, to the kitchen with custom cabinetry and high-end appliances, “the quality of the home is over-the-top,” Vancour told The Olympian by phone, noting that “no expense was spared to create the house.”

The main home also boasts two elevators, a workout area, a recreation room with a soda fountain bar, a wine cellar, covered outdoor living space, and a four-car garage, the listing said.

Along with the primary residence, the Western Washington property has a caretaker house that’s nearly 4,000 square feet, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a detached garage, according to the listing.

The estate also features nine barns with 70 stalls for horses, plus two indoor riding arenas, fenced pastures and apartments for staff, the listing said.

“If you were to buy the land and try to create something like this today, it would take years and cost probably double the asking price,” Vancour said. “It’s a turnkey purchase for anyone in the horse industry wanting an equestrian facility.”

The property is at 5051 US Highway 12 in Elma.
