OSPI, DSHS collect most for Well Fed, Well Read Drive
The results of the 2015 Well Fed, Well Read Drive are in: Workers from 29 state agencies donated $24,000 worth of food and 7,338 new and used books, according to a news release.
The donations will benefit the Thurston County Food Bank and the South Sound Reading Foundation.
The state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction collected the most books, and the state Department of Social and Health Services collected the most food for the drive, the news release stated.
