A portion of Squaxin Park will be closed on Thursday while a hazardous tree is being removed, according to a news release from the City of Olympia.

According to the release, the east side of Squaxin Park, located on East Bay Drive Northeast, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13 for the project. During this time, people should use the west side to enter and exit the park.

The city’s Parks, Arts and Recreation Department could not be reached Wednesday for more information on the tree removal project.
