Man arrested for murder in northeast Lacey, jail information shows

A 24-year-old man was arrested Friday night in Lacey on suspicion of second-degree murder, Thurston County jail information shows.

The man is identified as “military,” according to the log.

About 8:50 p.m., Lacey police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Marvin Road Northeast in response to an apparent shooting.

The Olympian reached out to police for more information, but they could not be reached on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Eddie Park, 48, of Lacey, according to the Thurston County Coroner’s Office. The man’s medical exam is set for Tuesday.

Both directions of Marvin Road were closed for the investigation.

The road reopened to traffic about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Lacey police said via a social media post.
