Mason County woman dies in single-vehicle crash, WA State Patrol says

A Mason County woman, suspected of driving under the influence, died at the scene of a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol.

About 4:20 p.m., the 48-year-old Union woman was driving east on state Route 106, approaching Skokomish.

Troopers say she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch.

State Patrol identified the cause of the crash as “speed and DUI.”

The Washington State Patrol has yet to identify the woman.
