Where are the New Year’s Eve parties around Olympia? Here’s where to celebrate
Those looking to celebrate the new year in Thurston County don’t have to travel far. A variety of Olympia-area businesses are inviting the public to celebrate New Year’s Eve with them Wednesday night.
Event flyers often adorn windows, walls and light posts in downtown Olympia. More recently the flyers have advertised local New Year’s Eve events. Ahead of the holiday, The Olympian scoured city blocks and the internet to compile a list of the places where readers can ring in 2026 together.
The Brotherhood, a bar at 119 Capitol Way N. in Olympia, is hosting a New Year’s Eve party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event will feature dancing with DJ Dead Air and a balloon drop at midnight, according to the flyer.
Patrons will be charged $6 at the door, and 100% of the fee will benefit Interfaith Works, a local nonprofit that works to help and house people experiencing homelessness.
Cryptatropa Bar, also known as The Crypt, is holding a New Year’s Eve event with local musical acts. The party starts at 8 p.m. and the entry cost is $15. The Crypt can be found at 421 Fourth Ave. E. in Olympia.
McCoy’s Tavern, a dive bar at 418 Fourth Ave. E. in Olympia, will have a New Year’s Eve party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The flyer says the party will feature a champagne toast and DJ Carefree.
Decay, a small community art space at 402 Washington St. NE in Olympia, is inviting the public to a New Year’s Eve rave starting at 9 p.m. The flyer notes admission is $15.
Wild Child, a taproom at 414 Fourth Ave. E. in Olympia, has been promoting a queer event called EAT THE RICH. The event starts off with a now sold-out private drag show and dinner party from 6:30 p.m.to 9 p.m.
This is immediately followed by a public after party that costs $30, according to the flyer. Capital City Pride organized this event.
Altitude 15, a culinary co-op and food hall at 225 State Ave. NE in Olympia, is hosting a New Year’s Eve grand opening starting at 6:45 p.m. This formal affair will feature a “hosted bar, complimentary gourmet bites and games.” according to the event website. Tickets are $71.21.
Beat Drop Kitchen and Event Center in Lacey is inviting the public to attend a New Year’s Eve party with a Great Gatsby Masquerade theme starting at 9 p.m. A Facebook event listing indicates the party will feature two rooms with two DJs as well as an outdoor beer garden. General admission tickets are about $15 and VIP admission is about $60, per the event website.

Insert Coin, an arcade and bar in Olympia, is hosting a Stranger Things themed New Year’s Eve event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The establishment will screen the season finale of the Netflix original show at 5 p.m. Attendees will be invited to play a Stranger Things trivia game after the screening, per a Facebook event listing.
Insert Coin will be open until midnight, but the establishment will be restricted to those 21 and over after 11 p.m. Those interested in attending can find Insert Coin at 3430 Pacific Ave. SE.
