Lacey driver, suspected of DUI, crashed into Shelton woman, State Patrol reports

A 45-year-old Lacey man, suspected of driving under the influence, crashed into a Shelton driver Friday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.

About 8:10 a.m., the Lacey man was headed north on state Route 3 near Shelton.

Troopers say the Lacey man crossed the center line and crashed into a trailer being hauled by a dump truck. The 33-year-old Shelton woman driving the truck was not injured, according to State Patrol.

The Lacey man was hurt and taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

Trooper Katherine Weatherwax said via social media that “charges are being forwarded for DUI.”
