Mason County driver seriously injured in Friday night wreck, State Patrol says

A Mason County woman, suspected of driving under the influence, was seriously injured in a Friday night wreck, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 10 p.m., the 22-year-old Belfair woman was headed south on state Route 3 near Allyn when troopers say she failed to negotiate a curve. She then drove off the road and struck an embankment.

The car, a 2010 Toyota Corolla, finally came to a stop on its roof on the southbound shoulder, according to the State Patrol.

State Patrol says the woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
