Thurston County man injured in overnight wreck, Washington State Patrol says
A 20-year-old Yelm man was injured early Sunday morning in a crash with a motorcyclist, according to the Washington State Patrol.
About 1:15 a.m., the Yelm man was stopped and facing south in the center turn lane of state Route 7 at 240th Street East near Spanaway.
Troopers say the man started to make a u-turn when a southbound motorcyclist crashed into him. The 36-year-old man riding the motorcycle died at the scene and the Yelm man was injured, according to the State Patrol.
The 20-year-old driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.
The road was blocked for about four hours after the crash.
