Be sure to ‘go’ before you go because this I-5 rest area is closed, WSDOT says
Attention southbound commuters and coffee drinkers: the I-5 Maytown rest area in Thurston County has closed for annual maintenance, the state Department of Transportation announced.
The rest area closed Monday afternoon and will remain closed until 3 p.m. Thursday, according to WSDOT.
The exit to the rest area, which is near milepost 93, also will close.
Work on the rest area “includes restroom fixture repairs, toilet replacement and plumbing repairs. Crews will also paint, pressure wash, landscape and clear drains,” WSDOT officials say.
