Initial post: Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a man considered “armed and dangerous” in connection with a double homicide investigation.
The man has been identified as Robert T. Child, a 60-year-old man who is described as bald and white. He’s also about 6 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds.
Child was last seen driving a standard cab, white Ford dually with a ladder rack. However, he may have access to a gray 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with the license plate C76622L.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office alerted the public to the man in a Tuesday night Facebook post.
Deputies believe he is a suspect in a double homicide “related to a domestic violence incident” that occurred in the Hoodsport area. Hoodsport is about 15 miles north of Shelton on U.S. 101 and around 37 miles from Olympia on the same highway.
Law enforcement is advising the public to call 911 immediately if they spot the man or either vehicle.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” the MCSO shared in their post. “Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available. Community members are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.”
