Vehicle hits pedestrian in downtown Olympia, fire department says

The Olympia Fire Department responded after a vehicle hit a pedestrian on Friday afternoon. The pedestrian was sent to the hospital.

OFD Chief Hillory Flowers confirmed with The Olympian that the incident happened around 3 p.m. at the corner of Union Avenue and Capitol Way.

Flowers said crews were leaving the scene just after 3:30 p.m. She said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital.

Flowers was unable to provide more information regarding the incident and the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries. The Olympian was unable to immediately reach an Olympia Police Department spokesperson for additional information, including whether the incident is being investigated or if anyone was arrested.
