Driver suspected of DUI after crashing into residence, Lacey police say

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed into a Lacey residence overnight Sunday, according to police.

About 2:30 a.m., police and fire crews were dispatched to a home in the 4200 block of Sixth Avenue Northeast, Sgt. Derek Thompson said Sunday.

That location is near Chinook Middle School.

Nobody at the residence was injured, but a seven-year-old boy was evaluated at the scene by Lacey Fire District 3 crews, Thompson said.

The man was booked into the Nisqually jail, he said.
