Serious injury crash near Shelton the result of distracted driving, WSP says

A 31-year-old woman was seriously injured after she drove off the road and crashed her pick-up truck Friday morning near Shelton, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers say the cause of the crash was distracted driving.

About 10:20 a.m., the Auburn woman was driving north on U.S. Highway 101 north of Shelton. Troopers say she drove off the road to the right and crashed into an embankment.

Her injuries were serious enough that she was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to the State Patrol.
