2 hurt after Thurston County crash Tuesday morning, Sheriff’s Office says

Two drivers were injured in the Yelm area of the county early Tuesday morning, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

A crash was reported at 6:55 a.m. on Bald Hills Road, about 200 yards south of 128th Avenue, said Lt. Mike Brooks.

A woman, believed to be in her 50s, allegedly lost control of her vehicle and entered an oncoming lane of travel, Brooks said. She crashed into a male driver who was injured and taken to an area hospital.

Other details about the male driver and the hospital he went to were not immediately available.

The woman was hurt, too, and transported to Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Brooks said.

Neither driver was impaired, he said.
