While hot summer weather in Washington state means plenty of outdoor activities, the sweltering heat might encourage you to spend some time indoors.
Stopping at the movie theater is a great way to enjoy air-conditioned entertainment with the entire family.
To help you save, several movie theaters in and around Olympia are offering summer deals.

When does $1 summer movie deal begin?
Regal Cinemas is bringing back its Summer Movie Express promotion, offering discounted family-friendly films and snack specials at participating locations.
“Summer is here, school is out, and this is your chance to spend some extra time with your kids,” Regal Cinemas said. “During summer break, enjoy a series of great family movies returning to the big screen.”
Starting Monday, June 1, you can get $1 movie tickets to select family-friendly films.
The ticket deal runs through Thursday, Aug. 13.
Discount movie tickets will be available 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

Regal Cinemas’ Summer Movie Express program includes a special snack pack deal.
Moviegoers can get $3 off a snack pack including a drink, popcorn and fruit gummies or Dippin’ Dots ice cream.

Participating Cinemark locations will offer screenings at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays from Monday, June 1, through Thursday, Aug. 6.
Some theaters will show additional movies during the week.
You can also get $1 off snack packs and any size popcorn-and-drink combos.
