Thurston Co. man who died in Vail Road motorcycle crash has been identified
A 55-year-old man who was killed in a Thursday afternoon motorcycle crash has been identified, according to the Thurston County Coroner’s office.
About 5:15 p.m. June 18, Kyle D. Phillips was riding his motorcycle when he crashed in the 16500 block of Vail Road Southeast, which is southeast of Rainier.
The cause of the single-vehicle crash was not immediately known.
The man was initially going to be airlifted to an area hospital, but he died at the scene, Lt. Cameron Simper said Sunday.
