Olympia hit-and-run driver sought after wreck near I-5, police say

Olympia police are looking for a hit-and-run driver after a crash on Sleater-Kinney Road Southeast near Interstate 5 Tuesday morning, a spokesman for the department said.

About 10:15 a.m., the driver of an older pick-up truck was headed north on Sleater-Kinney, then turned left to enter the ramp to southbound I-5.

However, that driver struck a southbound vehicle and then drove away from the scene, Lt. Paul Lower said.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was not hurt, he said.

Lower said the suspect vehicle is either white or light in color.

Following the crash, one lane of Sleater-Kinney Road was closed for about an hour, he said.
