The Olympia Tumwater Foundation recently announced a new live music series coming to Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls this summer, and it’s entirely free to the public.

The first of the “Evenings at the Falls” will take place July 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Brewery Park’s plaza, which faces Tumwater Falls and the Old Olympia Brewhouse. Subsequent shows will occur Aug. 8, Aug. 22 and Sept. 5.

The July 11 event will feature Seattle-based musician Erina, along with local food and drink vendors La Esquinita and Well 80 Brewhouse.

For Todd Cutts, the executive director of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, Evenings at the Falls will bring a setting that can’t be replicated.

Cutts said organizers hope to pay homage to the Old Brewhouse’s history through the pop-up beer garden and spur community connection.

“The history of the park is inextricably tied up with the brewery,” Cutts said. “We are trying to keep the memory of that alive in the community.”

No reservation or ticket is needed to attend the concert series and parking is free on site.

The park has never before hosted a live music series. While the foundation puts on the annual Tumwater Falls Fest, Cutts hopes the summer concerts will bring a new atmosphere to the site.

“We’re looking for people to come here on a warm summer evening,” Cutts said. “Come down, have a beer … listen to some live music, and hopefully wander down and look at the falls.”

The new live music lineup also celebrates “Friends of the Falls,” the Olympia Tumwater Foundation’s new membership program that launched in May. The program already has 40 active members, according to Cutts.

Cutts said the foundation established the membership program to create a community-driven volunteer base. Its fees will go towards the park.

Brewery Park is privately managed by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, which does not receive public funding and relies on independent investment for park upkeep. For Cutts, the membership program could diversify the foundation’s revenue and create greater financial security.

For the membership program’s first two years, its fees will go towards transforming the park’s office into a History and Nature Center.

Brewery Park saw more than 270,000 unique visits and 180,000 unique visitors in 2025, and according to Cutts, these park patrons lack an adequate welcome center — the History and Nature Center will bridge that gap. Cutts hopes to break ground on the project early next year.

If the summer concert series is a success, Cutts believes the foundation will pursue additional programming for next summer.
