Driver crashes into fire hydrant, light pole, sign and a tree, Lacey police say

A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her vehicle Monday afternoon near Lacey’s Horizon Pointe neighborhood, according to police.

Just before 5 p.m., the woman was headed south on Ruddell Road, said Lt. Shannon Barnes on Tuesday.

The woman allegedly drove up on the curb a couple of times in a Ford Bronco. Then between Parquet Way Southeast and Balustrade Boulevard Southeast, she crashed into a fire hydrant, a light pole, a street sign and finally was stopped by a tree, Barnes said.

The driver was not hurt, and no other injuries were reported, Barnes said.

Her blood alcohol content level was not immediately known, although police did obtain a search warrant to draw her blood, Barnes said.

The woman was booked into the Nisqually Jail, she said.
