Riverwalk Tours: Led by local historians, these free tours go through the historic heart of old Tumwater along the Deschutes River. This tour will be led by Terra Hegy. Reflecting on Gaza: The Rachel Corrie Foundation presents “Reflecting on Gaza” from 7-9 p.m. at Traditions Cafe and World Folk Art, 300 Fifth Ave. SW, Olympia. It will feature Maxine Fookson, Steve Niva, Eitan Isaacson and Mohammed Usrof, who will share their connections to the region and discuss 2014 events in Gaza and what lies ahead. Free. Music in the Park: Enjoy The Commanders Jazz Ensemble from 7-8 p.m. at Sylvester Park in downtown Olympia. Under the direction of Master Sgt. Jeremiah True, this ensemble is part of the Air Force Band of the Golden West and is the only active-duty Air Force band west of the Rockies.

Ghost Hunting 201: This is the first of a four-week class series that will include topics such as phantom hitchhikers, near death experiences, famous ghosts and haunted places in Washington state, and cemetery investigations, including a real-time investigation of a cemetery investigated by the Olympia Paranormal Research Group. Screen on the Green: Free outdoor movies Friday evening at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course, 4611 Tumwater Valley Drive SE. Movies begin at dusk. Meet the Teacher: Join many of the Senior Services for South Sound fall faculty for a presentation about fall courses beginning at 5:30 p.m., and again at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 2, at Olympia Senior Center, 222 Columbia St. NW. Each faculty member will make a formal five minute presentation. There will be time for follow-up questions. Catalogs will be available and students may register after the presentation. The 2015 Rally to Improve Birth: Rally to bring attention to the need for respectful care in U.S. childbirth. Begins at 10 a.m. at Heritage Park in downtown Olympia.
