Olympia’s Washington Center collecting supplies for firefighters in Eastern Washington

More than 1,300 firefighters are battling more than a dozen wildfires in Washington state, including the Okanogan complex, the state’s largest wildfire on record.

To support those firefighters, the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Olympia is collecting items to send east of the mountains to supply their efforts.

The center is asking for donations of:

▪ Water

▪ Gatorade

▪ Trail mix

▪ Beef jerky

▪ Granola bars

▪ Bandanas

▪ Chapstick

▪ Sunscreen

▪ Foot powder

▪ Baby Wipes

▪ Blankets

▪ Socks, T-shirts and underwear (cotton only, no synthetics)

▪ Gum

▪ Tents
