Labor Day grand opening set for Olympia Hobby Lobby store
Hobby Lobby will open its Olympia store on Labor Day, the Oklahoma City-based crafts and home decor business announced Wednesday.
The official grand opening is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 7 at 4141 Martin Way E., the site of a Kmart store that closed in early 2012.
Hobby Lobby will occupy 55,000 square feet of the building, which has a total of 84,000 square feet.
The business began as a miniature picture frames company called Greco in 1970. It evolved to become Hobby Lobby, operating 650 stores throughout the country.
Hobby Lobby will be open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday.
