Celebration planned for Olympia-area boaters who died at sea

A celebration of life for two Olympia-area residents who lost their lives in a boating accident is planned for Saturday, Sept. 26.

Tina Pittman, 41, and Thomas Miller, 68, were aboard a 20-foot Boston Whaler that capsized in Grays Harbor Sept. 10.

Pittman’s body was found in Warrenton, Oregon on Sept. 15. Miller has not been found.

The celebration of life is 3-7 p.m. at Buzz’s Bar and Grill, 5018 Mud Bay Rd NW, where Pittman was a manager for 10 years. Miller was a patron.

Guests are invited to bring a favorite dish or appetizer.
