Mason County missing hiker safe

Update at 3:45 p.m.: The Mason County Sheriff’s Office reports via social media that the hiker, a Boy Scout leader, has been found and is OK.

Crews with U.S. Forest Service and Mason County Division of Emergency Management were looking for a missing hiker in the Mount Washington area of the Olympic Mountains on Saturday morning, according to a Mason County dispatcher.

The man, who officials believe is about 52 years old, was last seen at a trailhead about 4 p.m. Friday, according to the dispatcher.

No other details were released.
