Mason County Power of the Purse event supports domestic violence services

Turning Pointe Domestic Violence Services is inviting the public to learn about the services they offer at the third annual Power of the Purse fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 9 at Little Creek Events Center, 91 W. State Route 108, in Shelton.

A silent auction is the main event, and there will also be a live auction. Both auctions will feature purses, scarves and other items donated by Shelton area boutiques, hair salons and other small businesses.

Proceeds from the event will support the programs at Turning Pointe.

Tickets are $25 each, which includes entry, appetizers, dessert and cocktail or other beverage. Tickets may be purchased at www.turningpointe.org, at Turning Pointe’s Facebook page, or by calling 360-426-1216.

Donations of new and gently-used purses, wallets, and scarves may be made at 210 Pacific Court, in Shelton.
