Crash blocks lanes of I-5 near US 101

11 a.m. UPDATE: Traffic is now moving freely on northbound Interstate 5. Southbound is heavily congested starting at Pacific Avenue.

ORIGINAL STORY: A crash near the intersection of Interstate 5 and U.S. 101 is affecting traffic in both directions.

As of 10:15 a.m. Thursday, the left lane of I-5 was blocked in both directions, according to the state Department of Transportation.
