Arts Walk: Tour downtown Olympia and see the work of South Sound artists, shown in scores of businesses. The event runs from noon-5 p.m.

Hunter sight-in: Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club, 14318 Littlerock Road, Littlerock, will have a sight-in for firearms owners starting at 9 a.m. Instruction will cover the handling of firearms, including loading, aiming and firing rifles. The club will supply 200-yard range, spotting scopes, sandbags, bench rests, targets and a range safety officer. $5. Sunday
Thurston County 1875-1900 and Cider Sunday: Help celebrate Thurston County history during the years 1875-1900. Enjoy displays, activities, period clothing, music, food and a river walk tour. Cider pressing is $3 per gallon — bring your own apples and jugs. Quixote Village celebration: The public is invited to celebrate the village’s Silver Medal for Urban Excellence award in a national competition sponsored by the Rudy Bruner Foundation (brunerfoundation.org/rba). The event is 2-4 p.m. There will be a brief awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. to honor the partners who helped make the village a reality, and everyone will be welcome to tour the village, and meet its residents and sponsors.
Wednesday
Lacey Chamber luncheon: The featured speaker is Jan Teague, president and CEO of the Washington Retail Association. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at the Worthington Center at Saint Martin’s University. It begins at noon. $20 in advance for members. $25 for members and guests at the door. Dixieland jazz: The Bellingham Dixieland All Stars will be at the Olympia Elks Lodge No. 186, 1818 Fourth Ave. NE, Olympia. Sunday from 1-4:30 p.m. Information: 360-943-9123. Members $10, general admission $14.
