Mason County Power of the Purse: Turning Pointe Domestic Violence Services hosts its third annual Power of the Purse, 4-7 p.m. at Little Creek Events Center, 91 W. State Route 108, Shelton. South Sound Women’s Day: Speaker Marilyn McKenny headlines the event from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at South Puget Sound Community College’s Student Union Building, 2011 Mottman Road SW. Wrinkles of Washington auditions: Will hold Christmas show auditions from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Lacey Senior Center, 6757 Pacific Ave. SE. WOW’s Christmas Shows will be Dec. 5 at the Lacey Senior Center and Dec. 12 at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW.

Orca Tour 2015: Orca expert and author Erich Hoyt speaks at 7 p.m. at the Olympia Friends Meeting Hall, 3021 Boston Harbor Road NE, in Olympia. The event is co-sponsored by Washington Foundation for the Environment, Ravenwind Farms and Taylor Shellfish. 12th annual “Denim & Diamonds”: Fundraising event presented by the Karen Hilburn Breast and Cervical Cancer Fund, a chapter of Mason General Hospital Foundation, will be at 4 p.m., at the Alderbrook Resort & Spa, in Union. Tickets are $50 per person with all proceeds to benefit women in the community needing assistance to pay for the diagnoses and treatment of breast and cervical cancers.
