Missing boater’s body recovered from Centralia lake

The body of a 65-year-old Centralia man was recovered from Plummers Lake in Centralia Tuesday.

The Pierce County Metro Dive Team recovered the body at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 6. The Thurston County Sheriff’s Dive Team and the Chehalis Fire Department also searched for the man, who was reported missing from his fishing boat about 24 hours earlier.

The victim was positively identified by relatives, but the Lewis County Coroner is waiting to release the name until extended family can be notified.
