Crash backs up traffic at I-5 and 101

Troopers have responded to more than 25 crashes in Thurston and Pierce counties this morning. Drivers are urged to increase following distances and be extra careful of wet roads.

One crash, affected the northbound Interstate-5 exit to northbound US 101 in Tumwater. Several lanes have been closed, according to the state Department of Transporation. As of 10:55 a.m., the right lane of I-5 north was blocked.
