Participants sought for Olympia’s holiday parade

The Olympia Downtown Association is taking applications for groups that want to participate in its 2015 Downtown for the Holidays parade, which takes place the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

This year, the parade date is Nov. 29. Parade entrants line up near the Farmer’s Market and proceed south on Capitol Way, ending at Sylvester Park. Musical entertainment and the annual tree-lighting ceremony take place at the Sylvester Park gazebo immediately following the parade.

Parade applications will be accepted through Nov. 13.
