In case you missed it...

An unfortunate number of violent crimes, plus restaurant inspections made up our top stories of the last week:

1. Coroner identifies victim in Wednesday night Ruddell Road shooting: The Thurston County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed Wednesday night in an alleged “drug deal gone wrong” as 19-year-old Alex Thomas-Anderson of Olympia.

2. Shelton drug bust nets 14 kilos of meth charges against 14: A federal grand jury returned a 13-count indictment this week against 14 people, charging them with conspiring to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin. The Shelton Police Department, as well as the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, assisted in the bust.

3. One dead, two injured in ‘drug deal gone bad’ near Lacey: The first story about the Ruddell Road shooting.

4. Restaurant inspections for Oct. 21: Employees not washing hands prior to or during inspection as sinks were blocked with towels and other debris, according to one inspection.
