Mason County vehicle-involved crash triggers 5-hour road closure
A 38-year-old Seabeck man was injured early Sunday morning after he allegedly lost control of the Mason County department vehicle he was driving, according to the Washington State Patrol.
About 1 a.m. Sunday, the man, apparently responding to a service call, was southbound on state Route 3, two miles south of Allyn, when he lost control of the black 2014 Ford Explorer.
After he lost control, the vehicle “rotated counter-clockwise, struck a tree, left the road and came to a rest on its side,” according to the state patrol.
The road was blocked for five hours. The driver, meanwhile, was taken to Harrison Bremerton hospital.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
