Units from the Olympia Fire Department arrived at 2:10 a.m. and found a small area of flames on the exterior of the older two-story home. Fire was confined to some exterior siding and roof eve and was out at 2:20 a.m.
The residents were back in the home by 3 a.m., according to the fire department.
The cause is undetermined. One resident told investigators they might have thrown a smoldering item out of the window earlier in the evening.
