Olympia seeks public input at Downtown Strategy workshop
Olympia will hold a public workshop Saturday to gather input on its Downtown Strategy.
The Downtown Strategy will define what actions the city will take during the next five to six years to move forward on its vision for downtown. The strategy will focus on four primary areas: reducing uncertainty for development, encouraging private investment, enhancing public spaces and preserving downtown’s natural or historic qualities.
The workshop runs 9 a.m. to noon Saturday (Nov. 21) at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW. Free child care will be available. Those who are unable to attend can participate in an online survey from Nov. 25 through Dec. 7 at olyspeaks.org.
