The St. John’s Concert Series ‘Northern Lights’: Baltic and Nordic choral music with Karen P. Thomas and Seattle Pro Musica will be featured at 3 p.m., at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 114 20th Ave. SE, in Olympia. Seasonal, medieval, folk and contemporary songs are on tap. Donations accepted. Thanksgiving giveaway: Molina Healthcare of Washington will give away 200 reusable grocery bags filled with Thanksgiving-related food items from 1-2 p.m. at Grocery Outlet, 2100 Harrison Ave., Olympia. The grocery bags will be distributed first-come, first-serve to 200 families.

Tellebration: A concert of oral storytelling by members of the Sound Sound Story Guild will begin at 7 p.m., at Traditions Cafe, 300 Fifth Ave., Olympia. Cost is $10. Story entertainment for adults and older children.

10th annual Teddy Bear Tea Party: The Olympia-Capital Centennial Rotary Club and event sponsors are throwing a party for families with children ages 2-7 from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Olympia Elks Lodge, 1818 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Children are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal. Event includes Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, face painting, live music and refreshments. Olympia Downtown for the Holidays: Festivities begin at noon in and around Sylvester Park, and end with the tree-lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m.

Spice of the Season: An evening of spirit in story and song at 7 p.m., at Traditions Cafe, 300 Fifth Ave., Olympia. Storytellers are Maggie Lott and Rebecca Hom.

Panorama Republicans: Guest speaker Sam Reed, former Washington secretary of state, who will talk about candidates for the 2016 state and federal elections at 2 p.m., the Quinault Auditorium, on the lower level of the Quinault Apartment building. Low-cost cat spay days: Concern for Animals, in cooperation with Animal Care Veterinary Clinic, will offer Low Cost Cat Spay Days on Dec. 3, 10, 17, Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Animal Care Vet Clinic will be handling 20 surgeries per day for female cats 12 weeks and older that are not in heat, overweight or pregnant. Proof of low income and Thurston, Mason or Lewis county residence is needed to qualify. For more information, call 360-489-1478.
