Tellebration: A concert of storytelling for adults and older children by members of the Sound Sound Story Guild will begin at 7 p.m. at Traditions Cafe, 300 Fifth Ave., Olympia. Cost is $10.

10th annual Teddy Bear Tea Party: The Olympia-Capital Centennial Rotary Club and other sponsors are throwing a party for families with children ages 2-7 from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Olympia Elks Lodge, 1818 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal. Event includes Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, face painting, live music and refreshments. Olympia Downtown for the Holidays: Festivities for all ages begin at noon in and around Sylvester Park and wind down with a tree lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m.

DSHS Mobile Community Service Office: Apply for assistance; drop off paperwork; complete an eligibility review, midcertification review or make changes to an existing case from 8 a.m.-noon at Union Gospel Mission, 413 Franklin St., Olympia.

Dec. 3

Spice of the Season: An evening of spirit in story and song at 7 p.m. at Traditions Cafe, 300 Fifth Ave., Olympia. Storytellers are Maggie Lott and Rebecca Hom.

Low-cost cat spay days: Concern for Animals, in cooperation with Animal Care Veterinary Clinic, will offer Low-Cost Cat Spay Days on Dec. 3, 10 and 17, and Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Animal Care Vet Clinic will be handling 20 surgeries per day for female cats 12 weeks and older that are not in heat, overweight or pregnant. Proof of low income and Thurston, Mason or Lewis county residence is needed to qualify. Information: 360-489-1478.

Holiday Concerts: The South Puget Sound Community College Music Program is offering three holiday concerts. On Dec. 4, the SPSCC Concert Choir and SPSCC Concert Band perform at 7 p.m. The concert will be on the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Mainstage. Tickets are $10 general admission and free to all SPSCC students, staff and faculty with ID. Dec. 5, the South Puget Sound College Orchestra offers two performances; one at 3 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m.. Those concerts will also be on the Minnaert Center Mainstage.Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors, non-SPSCC students (with ID) and members of the military, and free for all SPSCC students, staff and faculty with a valid ID. Dec. 4

Christmas Carol Sing-Along: Unity of Olympia, 1335 Fern Street SW, will host an old-fashioned Christmas Carol Sing-Along 7 to 8:30 p.m. Hot apple cider will be served. No charge to attend but donations gratefully received. This program is part of Unity’s regular First Friday events featuring inspiring speakers, music and films.
