3-vehicle crash near Olympia High School sends one man to hospital
A three-vehicle crash at Henderson Boulevard and North Street, near Olympia High School, closed the intersection for about 45 minutes Monday afternoon and sent one man to Providence St. Peter Hospital with an injury, according to the Olympia Police Department.
No Olympia High School students were involved in the accident, Lt. Paul Lower said Monday. All three drivers were adults, including the man who was taken to the hospital with a shoulder injury, he said. The other drivers were either uninjured or suffered minor scratches to the face, Lower said.
Olympia police and Olympia fire crews were dispatched to the scene about 1 p.m. Monday. The driver of a pickup truck was thought to have run a red light and crashed into another vehicle, rolling it over into a third vehicle, Lower said.
The accident looked much worse than it actually turned out to be, Lower said, adding emergency responders were prepared to deal with a fatality.
“It appears they are all going to walk away,” he said.
