4 people, 1 dog rescued near Luhr Beach

Fire crews rescued four people and a dog from an overturned boat near Luhr Beach on Saturday morning, according to Lacey Fire District 3.

Firefighters responded to the scene at about 5 a.m., and quickly rescued the boaters. The boaters were in the water for about 30 minutes. They were cold and wet upon rescue, but no one was injured.
