The City of Olympia and Stream Team will host a work party in conjunction with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Participants will plant willows and Oregon ash as part of a wetland restoration project in Mission Creek Nature Park, 1700 San Francisco Ave. NE.

All ages are welcome to participate in the community service project that runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 16. To register, go to StreamTeam.info.

Participants are urged to park on the street or at Roosevelt Elementary School, 1417 San Francisco Ave. NE. Carpooling is encouraged.

Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Those younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and all those younger than 18 must have a signed waiver and medical alert or have a parent’s signature on the sign-in roster at the work site.
