Boy Scouts will pick up Christmas trees in Lacey on Saturday
Local Boy Scouts will be picking up Christmas trees in Lacey on Saturday (Jan. 9).
Decorations must be removed from the trees and placed curbside by 8 a.m. Apartment residents should check with managers for locations to place their trees, according to a city of Lacey news release.
If you live outside Lacey, trees can be taken to the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center at 2420 Hogum Bay Road NE through Jan. 17 at no charge. If you’re a LeMay/Pacific Disposal customer, trees should be cut into three-foot sections and placed in or next to yard waste containers for collection.
The Boy Scouts are accepting donations. Donations can be made online at laceychristmastree.weebly.com, or can be mailed, with checks made payable to the Boy Scouts of America, to 8020 Chestnut Hill Drive SE, Olympia, WA 98513.
