Feb. 20

Books, Beans and Brownies: Proceeds from the annual book sale benefit Out of the Woods, Olympia’s only long-term emergency shelter for families with children. The event is 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., at Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 2315 Division St. NW.

17th Annual Paper Airplane Flight School & Contest: Open to all ages, the event will focus on folding and flying airplanes — from simple to cutting edge, 1-3:30 p.m. at the Olympic Flight Museum, Building A, 7637 Old Highway 99 SE, Tumwater. Admission for flight school participants is $7, which includes professional instruction, construction materials and snack. Spectator and general admission is $5. Children 6 and younger are free.
