A city of Lacey employee says he rescued three coyote pups from a stormwater drain on Britton Parkway Northeast on Wednesday.

Greg Lee, who could not be reached on Thursday, said this in a direct message via Twitter:

“I just found three coyote pups in a storm system/ditch and saw mom coyote nearby,” Lee said in his message. “I put all three along the wooded tree line and all seemed much better.

“I’m proud to serve our community, even the small and furry,” Lee tweeted.
