2. U.S. Marshals arrest fugitive in Yelm accused of leading Pennsylvania meth ring: A fugitive accused of leading a Pennsylvania methamphetamine ring has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Yelm after nearly six years on the run.
3. Haggen disappearing with sale or closure of all remaining stores: Friday’s announcement stated that Haggen has accepted Albertsons’ bid to acquire 29 of the remaining 32 Haggen-branded stores. An auction previously scheduled for March 18 has been canceled.
4. Olympia police release vehicle details in Puget Street shooting: The suspect vehicle involved in a Friday night shooting on Fourth Avenue East at Puget Street in Olympia was thought to be an early model 2000 Honda Civic or Nissan Sentra, according to details released Sunday by the Olympia Police Department.
5. Restaurant inspections for March 9: “Sushi worker was observed removing gloves bloody from raw shrimp, wiping hands on rag and apron, then touching serving tongs, refrigerator handles and food pans.”
