Blintzapalooza: Blintzapalooza returns with bagels, blintzes and books. It kicks off with a book sale at 9:30 a.m. at Temple Beth Hatfiloh, 201 Eighth Ave. SE, in downtown Olympia. Bagels and blintzes will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s proceeds will be split among three charitable projects: ROOF Community Services, Emergency Overnight Shelter and South Sound Parent to Parent. Mighty bubbles: Welcome spring to South Sound with the First Day of Spring Community Bubble Blow from noon-1 p.m. at The Kiss statue on Percival Landing on Olympia’s waterfront. Bring your own bubbles and bubble wands or use those provided.

Celebrate the works of Johann Sebastian Bach: To celebrate the 331st birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach, Curt Sather will perform a selection of the composer’s works on organ, harpsichord and piano at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 114 20th Ave. SE, Olympia. Admission is by donation.

Dine Out for Seniors: Dine at participating restaurants, including Peppers, O’Blarney’s, Xihn’s, the Oyster House and Iron Rabbit Restaurant & Bar. Each restaurant will give a portion of their proceeds to support the Senior Nutrition Program at Senior Services for South Sound. Readers Theater Unlimited presents “The Memory Care Plays”: Settle in for three one-act plays portraying the turmoil of dementia from 3-5 p.m. at the Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College St. SE. The three plays include “Steering into the Skid,” “In the Garden,” and “Riding the Waves.” All Timberland Regional Library programs are free and open to the public. Information: 360-491-3860.

AAA Driver Improvement Program: A AAA refresher course offers practical guidance for preventing traffic accidents and increasing a driver’s confidence. Completing the course qualifies drivers 55 years and older for automobile insurance premium discounts. The course runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Griffin Fire Department, 13707 Steamboat Loop NW, Olympia. Olympia Tumwater Foundation Noon History Talk: Free monthly talk features Karen Johnson and Don Trosper on the topic “Discovered Treasures and Stories from the Archives of Schmidt House,” at noon at the Schmidt House, 330 Schmidt Place SW, Tumwater. The Thurston County League of Women Voters General Meeting: A panel will provide an overview of homeless conditions in Thurston County from 7-9 p.m. at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW.
